The big news is that JUST DECEITS is being published. Celeste Bennett of Bennett & Hastings Publishing, a Seattle publisher, is in charge of the production, with Geoff Gray doing book design and layout. The expected release date is September 15, 2008, and PRE-ORDERS are now gratefully being accepted.
Robert Moulthrop, a NYC playwright, has taken an interest in Just Deceits. Robert and I are co-writing an adaptation for the stage.

The November 3rd Club recently published "Styrofoam" in its Spring 2008 online issue.
My poem "Secrets" appears in the May, 2008 issue of Drash, a NW JEWISH REVIEW, which is good for my EGO and also mYID. I make a killer latke, and I played forward on the Ohavi Zedek Synagogue basketball team, so I'm well qualified.
The latest issue of Lilies and Cannonballs Review, a quirky irreverent gem that comes out of the New Yawk standard metropolitan statistical orgasm, has just been released - containing 2 poems by Michael Schein. Thank-you, Daniel Connor, hardworking Editor. It's a beautiful magazine, and I'm honored to be included.
Here is a schedule of Michael Schein's upcoming readings:
Monday, July 28, 7:00 pm, Orcas Books, 509 4th Ave. E., Olympia, WA. This reading is sponsored by Drash.
Really cool news:
My elder daughter Ava Rose married dear Tristan in Vermont on April 20th. It was so beautiful - they are a kind and happy couple. I'm a proud poppa. I love you Ava!
"Marriage is that state that everyone out of is trying to get into, and everyone in is trying to get out of." - Oscar Wilde or James Thurber or some such wag.
LitFuse 2008 will be held October 31 - November 2, in Tieton, featuring headliner Lorna Dee Cervantes. Check out the Tieton Arts & Humanities website for a slip-slide-show.
RUNES, a beautiful annual that focuses this year on the theme of connection, is out. Please ignore the midwestern state fair cover, as the meat is pithy. Can't judge a poetry book by its cover.
Gotta go - cat box got my tongue.
